Southern Cross Adventures is based in Springbok, South Africa. Founded in
Namaqualand and famous for its outdoor country approach, we have established an
operation which has developed an enviable reputation.
Our activities are based around 4X4 adventures, extreme tours, river rafting and various
other outdoor activities. Your guide on any of these adventures would be extremely
experienced. Our guides typically have ten years of experience in their fields of expertise.
Where do we conduct our activities?
Having started in Namaqualand and the Richtersveld, we now have expanded to
include the West Coast, Kalahari Gemsbok Park, various destinations in Namibia such
as the Kaokoland, Damaraland and the Namib desert, as exciting destinations.

Self-driving/self-catering:
In this scenario you supply everything. We provide you with the planning for
your trip, including what you need to supply and then guide you in our guide vehicle.
Tailor-made tours:
You inform us of your dream adventure within the bounds above. We organise and guide your trip.
5-Day Tours (Richtersveld and West Coast):
We do it all, i.e. supply 4X4 vehicles, guides, permits, tents, mattresses - in short, all your requirements - including three meals per day (but excluding alcoholic beverages).
We then guide the trip.

What does a guided tour include?
A guide, a guide vehicle (Land cruiser), safety equipment and two-way communication
(radios) between the vehicles.
Tell me more about Namaqualand!
Namaqualand is an arid area which during the early Spring months turns into a flower
paradise, attracting people from all over the world. Should you combine this tour
with a foray into the Richtersveld, West Coast or southern Namibia, you would be indulging
in an exciting, adventurous and inexpensive holiday.
How do we get there?
All tours are initiated from Springbok which is easily reached by land or air. It is only
three hours driving from Upington and five hours from Cape Town. Direct flights are
available from Johannesburg (Lanseria) or Cape Town.
